In order to view a price for an item you see on our website, please add it to a Quote Request by clicking “Add to Quote” under each product you’re interested in. You can add as many items to a quote request as you like. When you are ready, submit the quote request.
Our quote request process is automated. Upon submitting your quote, you will be re-directed to your Account Dashboard where you can view, accept, or reject your most recent quotes. You will also receive an emailed quote with the same options.
When you “Accept” your quote, you will be taken to the Checkout page, where you may remove any items you do not wish to purchase and proceed with your purchase as you would on any other e-commerce website. You are also welcome to call us during business hours at 504-525-2262 and we will be happy to process your order over the phone.
Returns & Exchanges
All sales are final. We do not offer returns, and exchanges for store credit are offered at the manager’s discretion, in certain circumstances.
We generally ship via USPS Priority Mail Two-Day Express. We are not responsible for shipping service delays. Once the package leaves our shop, we have no control of how quickly it arrives. We generally ship via USPS Priority Mail. As of April 17, 2020 Priority Mail’s two and three day service commitments now will be extended to three and four days respectively (click to read more.) In addition, exceptional weather events or other events may affect your shipping times. Please plan your orders accordingly.
All shipments are fully insured and require an adult signature. We can hold your package as long as needed to ensure delivery on a day that is convenient to you. Typically, delivery services will attempt delivery to an adult in person at least twice, and if unable to deliver they will leave the package at the facility for a number of days before returning to us.
If you receive a damaged item, please let us know so that we may open a shipping claim. Take photos of your damaged package (all four sides, interior, and damaged item) and send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will work with you to ensure your purchase is replaced.
Care of Your Vintage Barware
Hand wash your barware with mild soap and warm water, using a soft cloth. Avoid anything abrasive and drastic temperature changes while washing, as this can cause de-lamination of the embellishments on your glassware. Dry with a soft cloth.
Care of Your Vintage Jewelry
Most jewelry we sell is costume jewelry, and therefore may require a bit more care. Gold items may be gold plate, gold filled, or gold vermeil. Silver or white gold items may be silver, rhodium, or white gold, plated. These finishes can wear down over time, this is normal and expected. To preserve the finish for as long as possible, avoid getting your jewelry wet or exposing it to hairsprays, perfumes, lotions, etc.
Most stones in costume jewelry are made of paste, acrylic, or semi-precious stones. To best care for them, avoid getting them wet. Wipe with a damp cloth or soft brush to clean.
A special note about CUFF bracelets. Cuff bracelets are not meant to fit tightly, nor are they made to be bent repeatedly to fit your wrist. Doing so will weaken the metal and will eventually break the bracelet. We cannot accept responsibility for repair of a cuff that has been repeatedly bent.
A special note about our Memento Mori pieces: Items made with a natural bone skull WILL develop a patina over time. We, and our vendor for these items, accept no responsibility for any changes the natural bone pieces undergo in the course of your ownership of them. The natural bone will typically darken a bit over time and with wear. You can help maintain it’s bright appearance by avoiding handling the bone as much as possible (skin oils will definitely cause the bone to darken more quickly.) Please apply lotions, makeup, hairspray, and perfumes BEFORE putting on your Memento Mori jewelry; and remove the jewelry before showering, sleeping, swimming, and exercising.
Selling Your Items, Appraisals, Etc.
We do not purchase from the general public; we suggest trying a re-sale shop in your area or looking into one of the many online venues for selling vintage items. We are only a retail shop and as such are unable to appraise or repair items; for the best outcome for your items, please employ a professional jeweler and/or appraiser.
