Camphor

Designed to mimic gum camphor and rock crystal, camphor glass enjoyed a popular following in the 1920s and 30s, but has been in production since Victorian times. In the Victorian era, it was an acceptable colorless stone for women in mourning to wear. In later decades it adorned fashion jewelry and was often used as “sweetheart” jewelry, and it experienced a resurgence in popularity in the late 21rst century.
